Uganda– Maria Nabatanzi aka Mama Uganda, the woman touted as the most fertile woman in the country, is not a stranger to most East Africans and the world, as many people have done interviews about her situation, but very few really helped her.
Ghanaian YouTuber Wode Maya is seeking to change this by renovating the woman's house and changing her way of living.
Maya had travelled for a series of interviews with the who is who in the country when he heard Mama Uganda's story and visited her but when he got there, he was appalled by her loving conditions.

It is an open secret that feeding 44 children and 10 grandchildren is not easy, and Maya first started by donating food to the family.
He also bought 67 mattresses for them to sleep on because the ones they had were torn.
An engineer who was brought to the home said there was a need to overhaul the roofs, make new verandahs and bring down the toilets as well.

The renovations at Mama Uganda's home have already started and so far, the verandahs and bathrooms are already done.
The houses have also been painted. Maya is now calling on well-wishers to help finish the last phase of the project.
On May 4, Amos Wekesa, a successful entrepreneur with five resorts in Uganda and Tanzania and an agro-processing business, said his mum almost killed him because of extreme poverty.
Wekesa's journey to success began with a non-profit organisation that paid for his education, and a tourism course, and eventually he got a job as a cleaner and then started his own tour company.

On Wode Maya's YouTube channel, he said his frugality is a reflection of his commitment to breaking the chain of poverty and being careful with what he does and what he has.
